Ken was born in Fort Frances Ontario and is a member of the Couchiching First Nation. He grew up in south central Ontario in the town of Peterborough. Kens love for music began as young as he can remember. Putting on old Walt Disney 45ís and playing air guitar and hitting pillows as drum sets.

Ken studied piano in the Royal Consevatory Program until his early teens. For Kensí grade 8 graduation he received his first electric guitar and began to take lessons on and off for a few years. Throughout high school he learnt the drums playing in the concert band. He also taught himself while he played in several garage bands.

During Kensí university years, he was introduced to new musical instruments through open stages and traditional Bluegrass and Celtic Jam sessions in Peterborough. It was at these sessions he picked up the tenor banjo, mandolin, upright bass, and various percussion instruments.

Through Kensí late teens and twenties, he played full time travelling to various venues for kids shows, weddings, pubs, retirement parties, Robbie Burns Day Celebrations etc.

After a 10 year hiatus, Ken moved to Moose factory, Ontario in the southern tip of James Bay. It was here that Ken faced some lifelong demons that had been plaguing him for years. It was in Moose Factory he began playing again and recording some of the tunes he had learned over the years.

Ken Now resides in Cranbrook, BC. Where he has just finished his second CD recording of all originals and is planning his third.
