Brother My Enemy

Hard Rock

London, Ontario, Canada
member since: Dec 9, 2010

Since exploding on to the music scene in 2009, Brother My Enemy are proving themselves to be at the cutting edge of hard rock. With two EPs released and countless shows already played, this band demonstrates that their unique sound and high energy performances makes them a force to be reckoned with.

Consisting of Reagan Thorne (guitar), Jeff Harris (bass), Jaimis Kirk (vocals) Chris Spiers (drums) and Aaron Murray (guitar, vocals) Brother My Enemy strives to push the boundaries of the rock genre. The band connected artistically and recorded the "A Life Less Silent" EP. It combines heavy riffs with forceful melodies to create a sound completely their own.

"BME definitely walks the fine line between heavy rock and metal, but the unique thing about this band is that we open ourselves up to a wider audience," says Reagan. "You can still be rock, and you can still be incredibly heavy. We're completely tapped into both, and with a frontman like Jaimis who effortlessly crosses that line, I feel that we've got something truly amazing here."

"A Life Less Silent", released April 23, 2010, shows an evolution in the band's artistic delivery and overall production. This painstakingly crafted 6 song E.P. produced by Aaron Murray at the A Room Recording Studio in London, ON Canada has grown quickly in popularity, with singles "Pray for Me", "In Silence" and "No Tomorrow" consistently played for more than 21 weeks on popular Corus Radio’s FM96. They have also been featured on Toronto's The Edge 102.1 FM, Hamilton's 101.1 FM, College radio and respected internet radio station that is ranked one of the top ten hard rock internet stations in the world.

Though a relatively new entity, Brother My Enemy have already established themselves as one of the leading bands in the southwestern Ontario area. In early 2010 they were nominated for Favourite Rock Act in the 8th Annual 2010 London Music Awards. In 2009 they won an FM96-partnered Battle of the Bands and have since performed with Hail the Villain and John Corabi (ex-Motley Crue). Many of the early successes of Brother My Enemy has been due to their ability to look to the future and bring their fans something progressive and completely exclusive. Currently, they are working on releasing their music for the popular video game Rockband, allowing fans to download and play Brother My Enemy material at home. The album is already available for download (click here), and the band is currently working to complete an iPhone app so that fans can stay up to date with live shows, RSS feeds and the latest info. These advantages, combined with intense live shows and unparalleled talent have allowed Brother My Enemy to develop an ever-expanding fan base and demonstrate that they are unstoppable in everything they do.
