The Tragedy of Mariam

Pop Punk/Rock/Indie

Windsor, Ontario, Canada
member since: May 3, 2008

Introduction

Early in 2006 the 2 founding musicians of The Tragedy of Mariam (Mike Bennett and Nate Pryor) started jamming in Nate's sisters garage, they never thought it would amount to anything, or turn out the way it has. A month or two goes by, and they find Myles Rodgers who would take over Nates spot on drums, and Nate would move onto playing bass guitar they wrote a bunch of songs, but they were still missing something to make the music stand out above the rest. so they contacted Mike Van Winckle (aka big time fag) to play lead guitar in ttom and Seth Makatoko for lead vocals.

Finally, in August 2006, the band seemed to be complete. TTOM went on to play their first show at the Coach n'Horses on Dec. 15th, 2006, but lost their singer in early April 2007, when Seth parted ways with the band. Leaving the band back at square one, TTOM had to find a new missing piece to the puzzle. After months of looking, the band was discouraged, especially after they had already started recording their first album "Smile ur Watched". finally in early November 2007, Ian Clifford of Essex asked to tryout and he blew them away, putting TTOM back on their feet and ready to roll.

We hope to come to a local bar, or venue near you! Thanks a ton to everyone who has ever supported us in any way shape or form.
