Introduction

The Falak (Band) is an experience in fusion. Based in Toronto, Falak comprises of five Pakistani Immigrants who have taken Hard Rock, Funk and Metal and infused it with eastern rythyms and sensibilities. The Lyrics are primarily in Urdu (pakistani) and the songs range from original material to Pakistani pop and folk music covers, all laced with hard rock and metal. Falak have been playing together for over a year and have opened for "Junoon", one of the premier South Asian rock groups in the world. They have also performed main stage at Nathan Phillips Sqaure during the "One Big No" festival promoting peace in the Middle East. Primary influences include Junoon, Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan, Mettalica, Led Zeppelin, Abida Parveen, Jimi Hendrix, Red Hot Chili Peppers and many many others.

Falak currently recordes its own material and manages itself.
