Don Bray

Folk

Barrie, Ontario, Canada

Introduction

Don Bray is a singer/songwriter/guitarist from Barrie Ontario. His guitar playing has been characterized as blistering and his songs are contemporary and often energetic, tinged with folk, blues and country. Influenced by musicians such as Bruce Cockburn, Leo Kottke and James Taylor he has forged his own individual style with unique lyrics ranging from humourous to reflective.

As well as being seen on stage in the Barrie, Orillia, and Toronto area, he has recently opened for the likes of Fred J. Eaglesmith, Connie Kaldor and Blackie And The Rodeo Kings.

Don is one of three winners of the Ontario Council of folk Festivals "Songs From The Heart" Songwriting Contest.
